Shenzhou IX successfully back to Earth after a milestone in China

BEIJING, CHINA (28/JUN/2012.) - The Chinese spacecraft "Shenzhou IX", launched into space on the 16th, returned today (June 29th) to Earth after successfully completing the first manual space docking, reported Xinhua news agency.

The spacecraft touched down at 10.00 local time (02.00 GMT) at a landing zone located in Siziwang County, north of the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia (northern China), where they landed above the eight previous series of spaceships “Shenzhou".

After 13-day mission, astronauts Jing Haipeng, Liu Wang and Liu Yang, the latter the first Chinese woman to travel into space, said they were in "good condition" minutes before ending their journey, as the Control Center Beijing Aerospace.

A large rescue team has been moved to the landing site, which includes three Marine ships and various helicopters.
